2013 is looking to be a busy racing time for me, I'm shootin' for 13 in 2013. I'm a fairly new runner so this is a challenge I will gladly take on:
Feb 16, 2013 Half Fast Half Marathon (5k)
March 17, 2013 Madison Shamrock Shuffle (5k)
April 6, 2013 Spring Fever 6/2 (6 mi or 2mi-haven't decided)
May 5, 2013 Eau Claire Marathon (2 mi)
May 11, 2013 Girls on the Run (volunteer 5k runner/walker w/little elementary age girls)
June 29, 2013 RCU Charity Classic (2 mi, kids 1/4 mi-my 2 yr old nephew)
July 13, 2013 Water Street Mile (1 mi)
July 14, 2013 Minneapolis Color Run (5k with non-running friends/walkers so we will be walking)
July 24, 2013 Tortoise & Hare (5k)
August 11, 2013 Pure Water Days (1/2 marathon)might do the 1/2 in May
August 31, 2013 Buckshot Run (2 or 5 mi-not sure yet) Racing in new age bracket...40!
September 21, 2013 Fall Frolic (5k trail run)
November 28, 2013 Turkey Trot (2mi or 5mi-not sure yet)
They are short distances and I am only going to do one 1/2 marathon (my first). What do you think, too much or ok?
